Last Saturday, dozens of shred queens undoubtedly made for a glorious and memorable finale of the Girls Shred Session 2018/19. The girls have already displayed lots of skills and style during the past four shred sessions. And now, it was time for the girls to own the Kings Park Hochkönig! It started off with a quick warm-up session. As they were ready and hot for shredding, the girls immediately headed into the park. Together with the Blue Tomato coaches and their helpful tips and tricks, they began to work on their skills. Snowboard coach Ana Rumiha has already been part of the coaching team for the third time. This year again, she’s more than happy about the Girls Day: “The Kings Park has never been better! It’s perfectly shaped and the girls were motivated the whole day.”
This day was all about progression, girl power and lots of fun! Already after the first few runs it was obvious, that the girls were definitely on fire! As from the very start, the girls were sending it at a high level! Spins and boardslides, the shred queens showed off their skills and brought action to the Kings Park!
The five coaches were constantly there to assist, to push, as well as to boost the girl’s self-confidence concerning freestyle sport. “I’ve overcome my fear and made a lot of progression. So, all in all it was a massive day!”, as one of the super happy shred queens said.
During the lunch break, the Blue Tomato crew made sure that the girls kept their strength with a tasty BBQ. In addition, Protect our Winters joined the Girls Day to raise awareness for sustainability in winter sports. After a short chill-out-session in the deck chairs, the girls headed back to Kings Park and into the second round of coaching.
As a little thank you for all the good vibes, the girls got nice goodie bags packed with souvenirs from Blue Tomato and Golden Ride. The highlight of the Blue Tomato Girls Day Hochkönig was the Goodie for Tricks Session. In this final jib session, the girls showed their learned tricks and got even more goodies from Blue Tomato.
Wanna see for yourself, how awesome such a #girlsownthepark day is? Of course, the QParks media team was on site the whole day to capture all the action. They’ve applied a bit of magic on that sweet footage and turned it into really fine edits for both our freeski and snowboard ladies.
