Everyone has heard of it, the half-sunken tower in the lake “Reschensee”. It is a truly picturesque sight. However, it isn’t the only spot that lives up to these attributes and triggers people to pull their phones and take a like-promising Instagram-shot. ‘Cause a couple of meters above the lake lies the Snowpark Schöneben and this freestyle playground has offered the participants a likewise breathtaking obstacle-panorama: tubes, rails and kickers form some super creative lines.

No wonder that lots of girls found their way up to Snowpark Schöneben in the morning to raise their personal trick-levels with the help of the coaches Lea Baumschlager, Tini Gruber and Kathi Gram. On the forefront shredded the local riders that were happy about more female company in their home-park.

After a common warm-up the girls defined their goals for the day and practiced some park-basics. “With the tips of the coaches, I figured out how to properly ride towards the kickers, jump onto the obstacle and shred more safely in general. I also tried my first boardslide on the flat tube – okay, I didn’t stick all of them but now I’m super motivated to keep going, that’s for sure!”, said Marie. The neo-shredqueen was also one of the lucky winners in the day pass-raffle before the session.

At noon, the first thirst for freestyle was quenched but that didn’t help the girls’ hunger. Luckily that was cared for too: the girls were spoilt with some hot dogs, tea and chocolate and after a short chill-out-break they tackled the wallride box next to the chill-area. During the common hike session, the girls grew super creative and had tons of fun.

After the break, the coaches and the girls went for the next park laps and the girls especially enjoyed getting sendy on the kickers: “The park offers many kickers in all sizes which makes it easy to raise the girls’ levels slowly but steadily. After some mute and indy grabs on the kickers, the girls even dared to try their first 180s and 360s”, Kathis Gram reported after the session being obviously proud of the girls’ progression.

That much motivation and dedication hast earned all participants lots of sweet goodies by Nikita, eivy, Golden Ride, Boardriding and QParks as well as a special treat by Protect Our Winters.
