At sunny morning hour the snowboarders and freeskiers arrived at the snowpark on the Resterhöhe and you could already feel the excitement and good mood to the fullest. With a playful warm-up, prepared by our coaches and freestyle queens Siobhan Callis (SBD), Maria Steiner (SBD), Vanessa Mayerosch (FSK) and Patrizia Holzmann (FSK), the girls were prepared for the upcoming progression session and then divided into 4 groups by rider level. After getting to know each other, the girls went straight into the park and onto the first obstacles. Together with the respective coaches, the girls were allowed to practice their first slides and jumps and bring their adrenaline level to maximum.
For lunch, the girls were allowed to browse the menu at the Hanglalm and choose between schnitzel & chips, Kaiserschmarrn, cheese spaetzle, soups and more. The ski water could not be missing, of course, to properly replenish the electrolyte stores for the second coaching session.
"The atmosphere was so fine, we had an incredible amount of fun at the first session and I'm already looking forward to the second. But now quickly refuel with a good treat!" said freeskier Iris with a grin on her face.
Already after the first session you could tell that the girls don't do things by halves and were ready for any challenge.
Snowboarder Anja raved: "I learned a lot of new things, tried out new tricks and got tips for my own park visits. Also, the atmosphere here is insane, I'm so happy to be there today!"

The girls undoubtedly not only put all their efforts into the shred session, but also made huge progress. You would think that the beginner groups would have made themselves comfortable on the boxes, but no! Tubes, rails and later kickers were directly made unsafe after not too long practice time.
Some of the participants proudly reported to have shredded a rail for the first time and to have found their way around immediately thanks to the coaches. Moments of success like the first 360, frontside boardslide and backside boardslide on box and also down tube were celebrated together with big cheers. "The progression was mega, I'm super impressed with the girls!" shared Snowboard Coach Mary.
