Nutrition is important and has a strong influence on our performance and well-being, especially on the mountain. Just in time for Christmas, we present you with two power food recipes that are ideal for the gondola snack break, fit great in any ski backpack and provide you with lots of energy. Let's start with the Power-Food Christmas Bakery description:
You need: oat flakes, coconut flakes, nuts, dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, dates, figs or whatever you like), bananas, maple syrup or honey and berries (fresh or frozen)
Blend the berries and the bananas
Cut the nuts and the dried fruits in little pieces and mix all dry ingredients well
Add maple syrup or honey as well as the blended bananas and berries and mix all ingredients well
If the mixture is too soft, add more oat flakes or some flour
Put backing paper on a baking plate and spread the cereal mixture on it
Bake it in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for about 20 minutes
Cut it in pieces; If they the cereal bars are still very moist let them dry a little bit longer in the oven
Ready to eat!
